Welcome!

The Augustinians of the Province of Saint Thomas of Villanova minister up and down the East Coast of the United States, as well as internationally in Peru, Japan and South Africa.

We take our spirituality and way of life from Saint Augustine of Hippo, 5th century bishop and Father of the Church. To that end, we carry on Augustine's legacy of journeying together to Christ.

We invite you to join us on this shared spiritual journey - as friends and supporters of our ministries, as volunteers, and as Augustinians. Together we can carry on Augustine's message - Christ's message - of a life centered upon God.

Discover on these pages the many ways that you can deepen your own lived experience of Augustinian spirituality...

“Consider the kindness of God. His humanity appeared, and his wisdom was hidden; his power was hidden, but his kindness appeared. And what kindness! Think of it: he through whom all things were made, in whom the heavens were established and all else created, was made for him, for us! For the sake of us humans the Creator became human; he who made the world was himself made from a woman. Already this is staggering, but there is more to come. When he 'was made,' he was not made into an angel, or a seraph, or a noble being of any other nature; no, the Word was made flesh. What is weaker than our flesh? What more fragile? What more fleeting? Beyond question the Word and flesh are at opposite poles, for what is the Word, and what is flesh? What is nobler than the Word, and what feebler than flesh? What is more stable than the Word, or more perishable than flesh? The dignity of the Word has been made known to you because you have heard of it in the gospel, whereas the weakness of the flesh is familiar to you from your own experience.”
