February 17 is the anniversary of William A. Marsden.

Father Marsden was born in Clitherol, England in 1853. He entered the novitiate at Villanova, PA in 1873, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1877, by Bishop Shanahan of Harrisburg, PA. He then served in both Cambridge and Mechanicville, NY.

Father Marsden was a brother of Fathers John and Charles Marsden, both priests of our Order.

He died in Cambridge on February 17, 1883 at the age of 30, and is buried in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
