January 28 is the anniversary of Francis P. Quinn.

Francis Patrick Quinn was born in Watertown, NY, in 1875. He entered the novitiate at Villanova, PA, in 1901, and was ordained to the priesthood in 1906.

Father Quinn served as the first curate at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine in the Bronx, NY. He also served at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine in Atlantic City, NJ; Saint Laurence’s in Lawrence, MA; and at our parishes in Scaghticoke and Greenwich, NY. During World War I, he served as a chaplain in the American Army.

Father Quinn was Rector at Saint Joseph’s in Greenwich when he died on January 28, 1939 at the age of 64. He is buried in the Community Cemetery at Villanova.
