St. Augustine Prep Students Lead by Example

St. Augustine Prep students demonstrate Augustinian Values during the pandemic by helping out their community in a variety of ways. They have sewn masks for their local healthcare workers, delivered food to senior citizens, and distributed hot meals to those in their community.

Three St. Augustine Prep students were recently spotlighted by a regional newspaper for their efforts during the outbreak.  James Kurtz ’21 and Rocco Gallelli ’21 were recognized along with freshman, Gavin Curran ’23, by The Daily JournalRead story here.

A fourth student, Cameron Compare ’21, was the first to step up at the outset of the virus’ impact.  Cameron’s efforts were heartwarming from the standpoint of using his own savings account to place an order of much needed Personal Protective Equipment for Shore Memorial Hospital in Somers Point, NJ.  At the time, the hospital was suffering from a severe shortage and Cameron’s donation helped alleviate the stresses caused by the lack of protective gear. Read the article here.
