Vatican Council II encouraged the laity to become consciously aware and committed to mission of Christ. The Council made prominent the call of each person to holiness in order to build the Kingdom of God. There are several ways for the laity to join with the Augustinians in the mission of the Church. Each of these groups offers possibilities to become involved with the mission of the Augustinians within the church: building community and spiritual life.
