St. Augustine Prep, a four-year college preparatory school, is owned and sponsored by the Augustinians of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova.
In 2009, St. Augustine Preparatory School celebrated its 50th anniversary. Founded by the Augustinians in 1959, the school is located on a 127-acre campus in Richland, NJ. Under the administration of friars of the Province of St. Thomas of Villanova, the school's focus is on preparing young men in grades 9-12 for higher education.
As a Catholic school in the Augustinian tradition, St Augustine prep promotes the values of Veritas, Unitas and Caritas - Truth, Unity and Love - which are the hallmark of the Augustinian order. In addition, St. Augustine Prep embraces and promotes John Henry Newman's ideal of "a Christian Gentlemen" who holds firm to his faith.
Following Catholic teaching, devoted to Augustinian values and Newman's ideal "Christian Gentleman," St. Augustine Prep School provides an atmosphere built on a community that promotes learning, a love of truth and respect for others that manifests the love of God.
